Terms & Conditions

All projects are subject to these Terms & Conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1.0 Services

1.1 Virtual Tours by Chris White will provide the Customer with agreed services, including the capture of a property or space using Matterport Pro2, Pro3, or Ricoh Z1 cameras to produce a Matterport 3D virtual tour.

1.2 A “Matterport Virtual Tour” is a 3D model hosted on the Matterport platform (“Matterport”) and may include features such as Inside View, Dollhouse View, Floor Plan View, property description, address, and contact information. Tours can be shared via URL or embed code.

1.3 “Google Street View” is a feature within Google Maps and Google Earth that provides interactive panoramas. Where applicable, this is created using data from Matterport and hosted by Google.

2.0 Payment Terms

2.1 Unless otherwise agreed, full payment is due upon completion and receipt of invoice. Delivery of final assets is subject to payment in full. Payment can be made via bank transfer or debit/credit card.

2.2 A 25% deposit may be required for new clients prior to work commencing.

2.3 Cancellations within 7 working days of the scheduled shoot will incur a 25% fee.

2.4 Cancellations within 3 working days will incur a 50% fee.

2.5 Cancellations on the day of the shoot will incur 100% of the quoted fee.

2.6 Upon delivery of the first draft, the client has 2 working days to request initial amendments. An invoice will then be issued with 28-day payment terms. Amendments may still be requested within this 28-day period.

2.7 Late payments may incur interest at 2.5% per 28 days overdue.

2.8 Virtual Tours by Chris White reserves the right to suspend or remove access to any materials or services where payment is outstanding. Continued use of such materials constitutes a breach of copyright and may result in legal action.

2.9 Projects split across multiple shoots exceeding 15 working days will be invoiced in full after the first shoot.

 

3.0 Quotations & Pricing

3.1 Quotations are valid for 28 days from the date issued.

3.2 Quotations include anticipated costs. Any additional charges will be communicated and agreed before proceeding.

3.3 Pricing may be subject to change. Fixed pricing agreements can be arranged and will be reviewed every 6 months.

4.0 Hosting

4.1 Matterport tours will be hosted for 12 months from the date of capture. Continued hosting beyond this period is available at £120 per annum, payable in advance.

4.2 Hosting is provided via Matterport’s cloud platform and is subject to their service availability, which is outside the control of Virtual Tours by Chris White.

 

5.0 Accommodation (Hotels & Venues)

5.1 Where overnight accommodation is required, the client agrees to provide suitable lodging. If not provided, reasonable accommodation costs will be added to the final invoice.

 

6.0 Licence

6.1 Virtual Tours by Chris White grants the client a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to:

• Use and distribute tour URLs and embed codes

• Use 2D imagery derived from the tour

 

7.0 Platform Independence

7.1 Virtual Tours by Chris White is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with or employed by Matterport or Google.

 

8.0 Delivery

8.1 Completed tours will be delivered via URL and embed code. All tours remain hosted on Matterport platforms. No raw digital files are provided unless otherwise agreed.

8.2 2D imagery will be supplied via email where included.

 

9.0 Copyright & Usage

9.1 All content produced remains the copyright of Virtual Tours by Chris White, including photography, post-production, and virtual tours.

9.2 Virtual Tours by Chris White reserves the right to apply branding or copyright notices to delivered work.

9.3 Content may only be used as agreed. Misuse or use in conflict with agreed purposes may result in withdrawal of licence.

9.4 Completed work may be used for portfolio and marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

10.0 On Site

10.1 The client is responsible for ensuring the property is prepared for the shoot. The photographer will capture the space as presented.

10.2 Reshoots due to inadequate preparation will be chargeable.

10.3 Delays caused by the client may incur additional charges at £50 per hour.

10.4 Health and safety remains the responsibility of the client/site owner. Work may be paused if conditions are deemed unsafe.

10.5 Consent must be obtained for all individuals appearing in imagery, particularly minors.

 

11.0 Post Production

11.1 The client is responsible for ensuring compatibility with their own platforms. Additional technical support may be chargeable.

11.2 Once approved, further changes will be charged at £50 per hour.

11.3 Additional post-production outside the agreed scope will be charged at £50 per hour (minimum £50).

11.4 Typical turnaround is 1–5 working days, subject to project complexity and receipt of required information.

 

12.0 Liability

12.1 Virtual Tours by Chris White is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from services provided.

12.2 Delays may occur due to the nature of the work; no liability is accepted for resulting costs.

12.3 These Terms & Conditions are subject to change. Clients should ensure they review the latest version.

12.4 Virtual Tours by Chris White maintains appropriate insurance cover relevant to the services provided

 

13.0 Warranty

13.1 Due to the nature of the service, no warranty is provided. Any issues must be reported within 28 days.

 

14.0 Marketing

14.1 The client agrees to credit Virtual Tours by Chris White where reasonably possible.

14.2 Virtual Tours by Chris White may use produced content for promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed.

 

15.0 Travel

15.1 Travel is charged at £0.45 per mile from Folkestone, Kent, and will be included in the quotation or final invoice.
